Since I do plan to use my friends, my family and those I have observed over the years as examples and subjects of some of my entries, I am choosing to keep the really personal information private.  In general, I am a happy, healthy, matter-of-fact Texan, who thoroughly enjoys the variety of my own life to this point and still expects to get around to many more new discoveries as each sunrise finds me.

Here are a few of my personal descriptors:  Ph.D. Communication in Human Relations.  Blessed with a life well-lived and an attitude of fairness, logical thinking and realistic optimism.  Raised in small town Texas by parents who loved each other for a lifetime and taught me by example.  Married once and forever still in love.  Educated and employed in the “big city” and fortunate to now live again in the “sticks”.  Worked in both the business world and the arts as well as teaching at the university level.  Constantly surprised and amused by people in general.  Conservative in finance and personal values.  Christian and of the Methodist denomination.  A parent of both a son and a daughter, and still nagging them to use their knowledge and abilities to make smart, wise and well-considered choices.  Health conscious but need to shape up now like most Americans.  A student of Life and a teacher of anyone who will accept what I can offer.

I strongly believe that individuals need to take responsibility for their actions and for their own destiny by making good decisions and follow those with good actions.  I am a true believer that a single word or action that I might offer another person with love and concern for their well-being can potentially impact their life positively.  It is with this perspective that I bring Logittude to more than just my close circles.  I seek to discover the Blessings that God lays before me daily and wish the same for all God’s people.  SHINE!
